Review | Anatomicals Lip Balms & Eye Gel

Hi everyone!

I have a love hate relationship with Asos - I love their clothes, their prices, their shoes, their beauty section, their free delivery, their student discount, but I hate how much money I spend on their site! It was on Asos that I stumbled across these lovely products by a brand I've never really come across before - Anatomicals. The first thing that attracted me to this particular brand was their eye catching packaging, as well as the fact that their products are amazing value for money. Another thing that I love about this brand is that they decorate their products with very witty descriptions that, to be honest, have made me giggle! Here are my first impressions of these great Anatomical products - Out And Out Britain's Best Pout Lip Balm Duo and No Old Bags Allowed Eye Gel

Out & Out Britain's Best Pout

The Anatomicals Lip Balm Duo costs only £4.50 from Asos and comes with the Stop Cracking Up and Never Lose Your Cherry lip balms. This means that these lip balms cost only £2.25 which, in my opinion, is amazing value for money as I am a big fan of these products! One thing that I especially like about these lip balms is the squeezy tubes which they come in - not having to use your finger for application means hygiene freaks like me don't need to worry about having a clean finger before application and there isn't that awkward 'where do I wipe my finger' moment after you have applied the lip balm! When using these lip balms the product slides on easily, quickly and smoothly.

Stop Cracking Up

This lip balm has a lovely neutral smell so if you're not a fan of lip balms that leave a taste on the lips this product would greatly suited to you! It has a clear and quite thick consistency which I personally love as it makes my frequently chapped lips feel greatly mositurised. The finishing look is very glossy and too much of the product could make your lips look a bit 'gluey' so only a thin layer of this is needed. I really like how this product lasts for quite a while on the lips and doesn't cause them to stick together. This lip balm works amazing by itself but it would also be a great substitute for clear lip gloss applied over a lipstick.

Never Lose Your Cherry

This is my favourite of the two, due to its gorgeous cherry scent! For some, this may be quite overpowering but I personally love it, as it gives me a lovely feeling of nostalgia by reminding me of the cherry Calpol I used to have as a child when I was unwell! This has a very similar consistency to the other lip balm in this duo, however Never Lose Your Cherry is a slight pink in colour. However this would also work as a clear coating over a lipstick. Apart from the scent and colour, this holds all the same lovely qualities as Stop Cracking Up.

No Old Bags Allowed

This eye gel by Anatomicals is also abother steal at only £4.00. Dark circles and bags under my eyes, as well as puffy eyelids, are some things which I battle with on a daily basis - although they are mainly a result of not enough sleep! I have currently been usinSoap & Glory's 'Puffy Eye Attack Turbo-Boost Hydragel' but was on the hunt for something a little less pricey. I apply my Soap & Glory product before I got to bed as part of my night time routine so I have taken to using No Old Bags Allowed in the mornings before using my day time moisturiser. The consistency is not as thick as I thought it would be and so far I haven't noticed much change to the appearance of my bags and dark circles (but then I haven't been getting any more sleep!) but I do find the gel to be quite cooling on my eyes and it helps to wake them up a little in the morning! Also, this gel has virtually no scent and smoothes into my skin very quickly, qualities which I find useful first thing in the morning.
Overall I am very pleased with these products as I feel they are amazing value for money and the unique packaging really does make me smile! I can definitely see myself purchasing more Anatomicals products in the future.

Speak to you soon!
